Should the student not meet his goals for that day, he will be required, at the discretion of the supervisor, to complete the work at home or after school in the Learning Center. Should the student have homework, a Homework Slip giving the pages to be completed will be issued. The slip is to be signed by the parent and returned the following day. No resource books may be taken home without special permission. Field Trips Various field trips will take place throughout the year. There will be an average of one field trip per quarter. "A" privilege trips will only be once a month in high school. Lunches Each Monday lunches should be ordered for the entire week prior to 10:30 A.M. Otherwise, student is responsible for his/her own lunch. Note: Eat only at assigned areas. Put trash in wastebasket. Clean off table. Chapel Weekly chapel sessions are held during which the student identifies his education with Biblical principles and wisdom. Students must participate and bring Bibles to all devotions, chapels, and special meetings. Daily Pledges We unashamedly teach the Biblical principles of self discipline, respect for those in authority, obedience to law, and love for God. Daily chapel includes recitation of monthly scripture portion. Monthly Scripture Memorization We believe that Scripture memorization is a vital part of Christian education. Therefore, the students of GCS are required to memorize a small portion of the Scripture every month. If students fail to do this by the last day of the month they will remain in their offices until it is memorized.
