Curriculum Overview
1. Biblically Based
We believe that the Word of God is the standard and foundation
for truth. Our educational resources will not contradict
that which is written in the Bible.
2. Cognitive Reasoning
LIFEPAC curriculum questions are designed to develop
a student's cognitive reasoning. We go beyond typical
memory questions like true and false, multiple choice
and fill in the blank. LIFEPAC questions develop analytical
skills through the requirement of brief answers, essays
and experiments.
3. Integrated Subject Material
We believe ALL subject material should be integrated
to help the student understand that life is not "compartmentalized."
Mathematical
skills are necessary in science.
Scientific
research is rich in historical data.
Language
arts is valuable in communicating God's Word, God's history
and God's science.
4. Personalized Instruction
We believe that a student excels in learning when an
instructor is involved. Our curriculum combines individualized
education with teacher interaction. This results in students
with a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
5. Mastery Learning
Mastery learning is based on the principle that a student
must master the content and skills of a single LIFEPAC
unit before progressing to the next. When the student
begins the LIFEPAC curriculum, it is essential that he
begin at his present "learning skill level."
This is determined through our diagnostic testing and
eliminates personal opinion regarding a child's scholastic
ability.
